There is a new Nursing and Midwifery center currently in development, a first for South Australia.
The center will focus on evidence based practice and highlight the importance of nursing practice.
The federation's South Australian chief executive Elizabeth Dabars says nurses and midwives are major contributors to the health system and the wellbeing of patients.
"The centre will pave the way for discoveries, advances and changes to better equip nurses and midwives to support not only South Australians, but potentially the profession and many people at a national and international level," Ms Dabars said.
