Our client is an International congress of Catholic sisters ( nuns) who are based in the corporate National Health  HQ in Sydney’s Inner city . This role is part of the dynamic and committed National Health and Wellbeing team. Established rich culture and history and offering holistic support , this Congress is a respected, community provider of charity and spiritual support  to those who are  most in need. We are seeking a motivated and committed EN to provide hands on care support  to all Congress sisters in Sydney ensuring all procedures and compliance are followed.

About the Current Role

  • High needs and complex aged programmes for all members of the religious order ( sisters)
  • Providing care services to the sisters and keeping health records
  • Hands on holistic care
  • Accompany sisters to medical appointments
  • Monitoring post /operative and care/ rehabilitation
  • Mobility appointments for sisters including family visits, errands, days out
  • Ability to travel to sisters based in Sydney Metro area
  • Basic administrative duties

 

We are currently seeking to appoint a permanent part time EN to join this large national team of Community Coordinators working on local programmes in residential aged care facilities, nursing homes and inhome. The role is Tuesday Thursday and Friday with additional hours available from 14/11/24 to 11/2/25 to cover internal leave.

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting hands on support, working within  procedures and support plans to meet the needs of the sisters. They will also liaise with other health professionals and multi-disciplinary teams in order to meet service delivery goals.

Critical to the success of this role is the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people with the focus on service and ensuring our participants comfort and dignity.

 

You will be driving in Sydney metro area including  Croyden, Glebe, Baulkham Hills, Blacktown , Ryde, Marsfield areas so confidence on the road with reliable vehicle, car insurance and current license essential. You will be reimbursed with a car allowance covering all costs.

 

Ideal Experiences and Qualifications

 

  • Highly Experienced EN or Support Worker
  • Ability to work independently with effective communication, initiative, problem solving and time management skills
  • Australian Resident
  • Triple Vaccinated
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Ideally a Certificate in Aged Care
  • Own insured vehicle

As a permanent member of staff you will qualify for annual and sick leave entitlements plus 11.5 % superannuation.
