- Indicative Total Remuneration: $103,873 – $111,052 (pro rata) – Perm P/T (32 hrs p/wk, over a 7 day roster) – RN/RM2
You will support the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of nurses within the Eudunda Hospital and Hostel. Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Nurse Unit Managers, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Utilising your nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing and aged care teams. Eudunda Hospital provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners to outpatients and aged care beds. Along with a 24-hour accident and emergency service, we provide general medical care including inpatient, outpatient and same day stays. Eudunda Hospital offers residential care facilities at the adjoining Eudunda Hostel. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.
