  • Salary:  ENC: $58,561 – $65,920 p.a. (Pro-rata); END: $60,800 – $68,481 p.a. (Pro-rata)
  • More than one Permanent Part-Time position available (hours to be negotiated), working over a 7 day roster

Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will assist with the provision of high-quality person-centred care to patients. Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team, you will implement appropriate nursing care and assist with general and specialised procedures from nursing care plans. You will plan and prioritise your own work program to achieve defined outcomes and exercise judgment when it is required to solve problems arising in your work area. You will provide verbal and documented information within your scope of practice to patients, other health care team members, and members of the public, and contribute to your professional expertise by maintaining ongoing personal professional development and continuing education through a portfolio of post-enrolment learning. Gumeracha District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners, to outpatients and aged care beds.

You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You will have experience in the provision of nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. With a commitment to providing person-centred care, you will bring the ability to recognise and report changes in patients’ clinical condition. Your effective verbal and written communication skills will enable you to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
