Working both independently and collaboratively in the Emergency Department, you will undertake comprehensive assessment of patients’ health status including their medical history and physical examination. You will also initiate interventional therapies, medications and use of health appliances or equipment as required, with the scope to admit and discharge patients from services. You will be registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate. In addition, you will be eligible for authorisation as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA (RN/RM3) or hold the notation of Nurse Practitioner (RN/RM4).
