The Role
As our Nurse Consultant in Mental Health, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional clinical, educational, and professional mental health services within general medical and emergency department settings. Collaborating with key stakeholders from regional South Australia and the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing mental health clinician skills within the Flinders and Upper North LHN, ensuring a seamless and integrated mental health response.
You will work closely with the FUNLHN Community Mental Health Teams, offering invaluable education and mentoring to staff, and advancing their expertise in managing mental health consumers.
In this expert-level position, you’ll contribute to the advancement of high-quality, safe mental health services across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. Your role will involve providing clinical leadership, coordinating impactful projects, and ensuring top-tier mental health care.
With significant autonomy and decision-making authority, you will be responsible for delivering expert mental health nursing care, guiding and supporting nursing teams, and improving outcomes for patients. Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Must hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
