Join Our Team as a Nurse Unit Manager at Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service!

Are you a passionate and experienced nurse ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service is seeking a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager for our High Dependency Unit (HDU), Chemotherapy, and Renal Dialysis units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate nursing and multidisciplinary team activities, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
  • Accept accountability for nursing practices and multidisciplinary outcomes, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Drive team performance and enhance a supportive work culture focused on patient-centered care.
  • Implement and promote consumer engagement initiatives while leading change management processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate.
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience, with demonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practices.
  • Effective leadership skills, including exceptional communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in management roles, including supervising students and less experienced nurses/midwives.
  • Familiarity with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of healthcare legislation and standards.
