The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is currently recruiting for Registered and Clinical Mental Health Nurses within Adult Community Mental Health.

As a Registered Nurse (RN1) you will provide nursing services in health service settings. You will develop from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice. In this role you will consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. As a Registered Nurse you will accept accountability for your standards of nursing/midwifery care and for activities delegated to others.

As a Clinical Nurse (RN2C) you will provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study, developing from a competent to a proficient practitioner. In this role you will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however, employees are assigned appropriate portfolios. The allocation of portfolio responsibilities should be negotiated with each employee and be consistent with the career development plan for the employee as determined by their performance review/development plan.

To be eligible for the position of Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse, you must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.

COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
