About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses within the Adult Community Mental Health – Mental Health Hospital in the Home Service.
The Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH) Service is a 12-bed service that will provide services to the Northern catchment area. The MHHITH Service will provide acute daily mental health support within a client’s home and is intended for those experiencing acute episodes of psychiatric illness who would typically be considered candidates for presentation at the Emergency Department (ED), Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU), and/or Inpatient Unit admissions.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality mental health care to adults within their homes and residential settings. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering medication, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centred care.
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
