The Role
As a Clinical Nurse – Diabetes Educator, you will leverage your advanced clinical knowledge and experience to deliver expert nursing care and diabetes education across various health service settings. You’ll be pivotal in promoting community health, improving client outcomes, and continuously enhancing diabetes management within the Local Health Network. Your role will involve accepting accountability for your practice standards, overseeing delegated activities, and guiding less experienced staff. While your primary focus will remain on clinical excellence, you will also be assigned tailored portfolio responsibilities, aligned with your career development and performance goals. Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must have completed or undertaking Diabetes Educators Course or willingness to undertake.
