Griffith’s Clinical Trial Unit is a Core research Facility to the University that provides state of the art facilities for clinical trials. We support university researchers and academics in conducting their trials, but also provide professional clinical trial services to commercial clients such as the pharma and biosciences industry.
Job Description
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will coordinate commercial clinical trials conducted by the Clinical Trial Unit and provide clinical services to Griffith University staff conducting their trials within the Unit.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of clinical trials, including the conduct of study visits and clinical assessments.
- Data entry and communication with clinicians and study participants.
- Assist with study start-up procedures and HREC submission.
- Lead the preparation of trial specific documents.
- Manage the closeout and archiving processes.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will be a registered nurse with:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse in Australia
- Demonstrated significant experience in clinical trial research, including activities such as the conduct of study visits, data management and HREC submissions
- Proven clinical skills in areas such as ECG, venepuncture and cannulation
- Sound knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Expertise in clinical trial coordination and clinical trial project management
You will be a proactive and organised individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting research excellence within a clinical trial setting.
What we can offer
We currently have two exciting opportunities available:
- One full-time position
- One part-time position at 0.6 FTE
Both roles are fixed-term appointments for two years and are based at our Gold Coast location. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $113,713 – $127,923 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $133,044 – $149,670 per annum.
