We now offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team in the College of Healthcare Sciences as a Lecturer, Nursing and Midwifery.  This Full-time, 12 month fixed-term appointment can be performed remotely.

What you can accomplish in the role

As a credentialled and experienced Diabetes Educator you will coordinate the online Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education and provide innovative learning activities and assessments that facilitate engaged learning experiences for a diverse range of students. Additionally, you will engage in research endeavors, contribute to curriculum development, and offer consultation services both within the University and across healthcare facilities in North Queensland.

Qualifications required

You will need a postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Education, current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration with a relevant health discipline and be a credentialled Diabetes Educator with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA).

You will demonstrate extensive clinical experience in the field of diabetes education and have a passion for learning, teaching and curriculum development, specifically using online teaching approaches.  As a flexible innovative person, you are able to utilise your strong interpersonal and effective communication skills as you work across disciplines to deliver engaging content.
