About the role:

Working within a close knit multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of clinical practice, you will be responsible for providing direct person centred nursing care across the acute, emergency department and aged care environment. With access to excellent resources, your role will include assessing individual patient needs, planning, implementing and/or coordinating appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will provide high quality nursing care to patients or residents to improve the health outcomes of the individual. In this role, you’ll have excellent opportunities for varied innovative and challenging work within a picturesque setting.

Employees classified at this level provide nursing and/or midwifery services in health service settings. Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. An employee at this level accepts accountability for his or her own standards of nursing/midwifery care and for activities delegated to others.

You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
