Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Midwife seeking a rewarding career opportunity? SA Health is currently seeking a Full-time, Ongoing Registered Midwife to join the exceptional team at the Mount Barker District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu LHN, based in the idyllic Adelaide Hills region.
In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering exceptional care to mothers and their newborns. As a member of our dedicated team, you will contribute to the seamless transition towards the Midwifery Model of Cares, which will be implemented in early 2025. This innovative model ensures that all women receive personalised support from a named midwife throughout their pregnancy, labour, and postpartum journey, as well as our base team on site 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
With three midwifery continuity pathways – Midwifery Base Team, Midwifery Group Practice and Midwifery Antenatal and Postnatal Care (MAPCare) – you will have the chance to collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary maternity care team, providing exceptional care tailored to each woman’s unique needs. Qualifications
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a team and prioritise workload, you will be creative, innovative and flexible in your approach to midwifery.
