About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional nursing services within our Quaternary health service settings. This position is designed for dedicated professionals who are transitioning from competent to proficient practitioners, allowing you to build on your experience and further develop your skills. You will take accountability for your own practice standards while guiding and supporting less experienced staff, ensuring that our team provides the highest quality of care to our patients.

In this leadership role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to promote continuity and consistency of care across the ward or unit. You will assist in implementing practice changes, manage performance processes, and contribute to critical operational responsibilities such as recruitment, staffing, and financial planning. About You

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in their career as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Nursing board of Australia and a valid practising certificate.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse, with a proven track record in Acute and Chronic nursing practice.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise your workload effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing issues, alongside experience supervising less experienced nursing staff.
