About the Role
As a Nurse Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert clinical nursing care and leadership within a mental health setting. You’ll deliver high-level, person-centred care to individuals and groups while guiding and supporting nursing teams to ensure best practices are upheld. Your expertise will drive the implementation of projects and standards aimed at enhancing consumer care outcomes and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering comprehensive mental health nursing care, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring alignment with national mental health policies and standards. With a focus on education, counselling, and group work, you’ll contribute to achieving optimal health and recovery outcomes for consumers. About You
We’re looking for a highly skilled and passionate Nurse Consultant to bring expert leadership and clinical care to our mental health teams. To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 3 years’ experience and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Leadership & Team Skills: Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing clinical change and fostering skill development.
  • Experience: Proven ability to deliver high-level mental health nursing care and lead teams in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Knowledge & Expertise: Sound understanding of mental health policies, recovery frameworks, and relevant nursing standards and legislation.
