Working on a permanent part time basis, you will assist with providing high quality nursing care within the Cleve District Hospital aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team. You will have the opportunity to nurse a variety of acute and aged care clientele.

Cleve District Hospital and Aged Care is part of Eyre and Far North Local Health Services. Cleve is 90 minutes from regional centres of Port Lincoln and Whyalla and 20 minute drive to the beach and is a small rural community. Cleve District Hospital is a 20 bed hospital providing acute and aged care services to Cleve, Arno Bay and the surrounding rural community. We also have 20 hostel rooms, 15 aged care cottages and extensive community services.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.

To be successful it is essential that you meet the minimum requirements of the role outlined in the Role Description.

This is a part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. More than one part time position available.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
