Join our Team as a Registered Nurse at Cleve District Hospital

Cleve District Hospital is seeking motivated and enthusiastic nurses to join our team in full-time and part-time positions. About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse at Cleve District Hospital, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within our local community. In this role, you will develop your clinical knowledge and skills, providing person-centred care and contributing to positive health outcomes for patients. You will also be responsible for consolidating your nursing practice, taking accountability for your own standards of care, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-focused nursing care across a variety of settings, ensuring that care is responsive to individual patient needs.
  • Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Collaborative Care: Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal outcomes and address any patient needs.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to build your expertise and advance your nursing practice.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for committed, compassionate nurses who are eager to expand their skills and take accountability for their own practice. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A creative, innovative, and flexible approach to problem-solving within the healthcare setting.
  • A strong commitment to consumer/client and family-centred care.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage competing workloads
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice, in accordance with established professional standards.
  • Experience with computer systems and software packages (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) for patient documentation and communication.
  • Sound knowledge of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, codes of ethics, and competency standards.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems as they apply in a healthcare setting.

The hospital at Cleve and Crestview Hostel are run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. Cleve Hospital has five inpatient beds, providing emergency, general medicine, post-surgical care, x-ray, rehabilitation and palliative care. There are also three aged care beds within the hospital.
