Join Our Team: Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Leading Excellence in Patient Care

Are you an experienced nurse or midwife ready to take the next step in leadership? We’re looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to support the delivery of high-quality care while guiding and developing clinical teams within a dynamic healthcare setting.

About the Role:

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide expert nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of clinical settings, drawing on your experience and professional growth. You’ll play a key leadership role, supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the ward, unit, or service.

You will help ensure continuity and consistency of care through collaborative practice and will contribute to service management responsibilities such as staff development, rostering, performance management, and resource planning. With a focus on both patient care and team support, you’ll be instrumental in driving positive clinical outcomes and fostering a supportive workplace culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
