Are you a skilled nurse ready to take the next step in your career? Elmhaven Aged Care – Streaky Bay is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to play a pivotal clinical role in our dedicated team.

About the Role: As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to lead our nursing team. Your responsibilities will include promoting continuity and consistency of care, resolving nursing care challenges, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proficient, person-centred clinical nursing care and individual case management.
  • Monitor patient/client care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Oversee the provision of nursing care and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Actively participate in clinical leadership and decision-making processes.

About you

  • You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
  • 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
  • Prior experience of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.
  • Ability to be creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues with the healthcare setting and be able to prioritise your workload
  • Knowledge of contemporary professional nursing/midwifery and health care issues, and Quality Improve Systems as applied to a health care setting
