The Direct Care Worker (Residential) will assist in providing a direct client service to residents of the Residential Care Home.  He/she will have a proven ability to work well within a team environment; have sound interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances; the ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality; a proven ability to meet deadlines and timeframes; the ability to provide assistance and co-operation to other staff and a demonstrated ability to perform under limited direction.

The Direct Care Worker must have completed an AQF Certificate III relevant to the position with proven experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health related field, experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons, a proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day to day execution of a position and experience in using computer packages.

This part time vacancy has multiple positions available.  Working hours per fortnight are to be negotiated upon appointment and the annual salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.  In addition to the annual salary package, we also offer salary sacrifice benefits, employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.  COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
