You will provide strategic and operational leadership, governance and direction for the nursing/midwifery services at Bordertown Memorial Hospital. The focus of your role will be the development and implementation of frameworks and systems within which nursing/midwifery employees practice. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating clinical practice and service delivery standards. As an expert nursing manager practicing at an advanced level, you will have an extended scope of practice and a high degree of autonomous decision making. Ensuring effective systems are in place to support, evaluate and consistently improve nursing/midwifery practice and healthy work environments, you will strive for the provision of high quality and cost effective health services within your span of control. Bordertown is situated 270 kilometres south-east of Adelaide, only 20 kilometres west of the Victorian border. With quality schools and recreational facilities, Bordertown offers safe and affordable living within a welcoming community. The regional town is located within the picturesque and prosperous agricultural South East region with stunning beaches, national parks and world-class wineries within reach.
You will need to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate. This will be complemented by recent substantial senior experience and responsibility in nursing management. A confident leader who can deal with a range of activities concurrently, you will bring the ability to create and manage change within a dynamic healthcare environment. Highly developed communication, negotiation and leadership skills will hold you in good stead for this role.
