Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for patient-centred care and system improvement? Step into a key leadership role that drives real outcomes across elective surgery services in the Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN).
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery, the Elective Surgery Coordination Manager (ESCM) ensures effective and timely patient access to elective surgery. In this exciting, newly created role, you’ll lead coordination efforts across sites, contribute to performance improvement, and shape service delivery in line with SA Health’s policy framework.
As a critical advisor to the LCLHN executive, you’ll support elective surgery strategy, manage stakeholder engagement, monitor performance data, and drive operational efficiencies to reduce wait times and support patient flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate elective surgery logistics across LCLHN
- Advise on policy compliance, targets, and national benchmarks
- Liaise with clinicians and stakeholders to improve throughput
- Lead data reporting, audits and quality initiatives
- Represent LCLHN on relevant SA Health committees
What We’re Looking For:
This role is multi-classed as RN/RM3 or AHP3 and classification will be determined by qualifications held.
Qualifications required:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years post registration experience or
- Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant Allied Health profession, and be eligible for (full) membership of the relevant Professional Association
