Join our Team as a Registered Nurse Perioperative at Naracoorte Health Service

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for perioperative care? An exciting opportunity is presented to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team at Naracoorte Health Service on a permanent part time basis.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our perioperative unit, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role is designed for nurses who are ready to progress from novice to proficient practitioners, consolidating their knowledge and skills through hands-on experience and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert perioperative nursing care in a range of surgical settings.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, maintaining safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
  • Develop and refine your clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development.
  • Take responsibility for your own practice and contribute to the development and mentoring of less experienced staff.
  • Manage and delegate activities effectively, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

About You

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible, prioritise workload and have effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and a demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care.
