About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking Registered Nurses who are embarking on a mental health nursing career to join their team within the Northern Mental Health Service.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative mental health service where you will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes and develop capability through clinical placement experience to compliment theoretical education in a University setting. Employees within the 12 month Post Graduate Diploma Mental Health (PGDMH) rotation will be provided with a specific orientation and will rotate through three mental health speciality areas with access to dedicated Clinical Facilitators to support the rotations.

In this role you will play a pivotal part in delivering compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals navigating mental health challenges. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in educational activities, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects, fostering your professional growth and contributing to the advancement of mental health services.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

Mental Health – The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.

Forensic Mental Health – A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners.
