About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate and energetic Clinical Nurses to join our state first Geriatrics in the Home Service. The service was established in 2018 and since its inception has grown from 8 beds to 35, experiencing significant growth. Clinicians with a genuine interest in bettering the lives of Older People and providing expert clinical care in their own homes are strongly encouraged to apply.

The GITH Service is made up of a dynamic multidisciplinary team who all work together to achieve a shared goal- optimising care for Older People in their own environment. Our service is committed to providing best practice care that supports consumer choice and celebrates individuality in ageing. We deliver innovative, holistic, person-centred care to a diverse group of Geriatric clients. We promote ageing with dignity, respect and compassion through valuing patients time, supportive communication and shared decision making. Shared team values has led to the creation of a highly functional team with a positive workplace culture.

The autonomous role of Clinical Nurse provides opportunity for further learning and upskilling into other senior nursing roles such as Geriatric Nurse Consultant. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to experience working in new community based Geriatric Services.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
