About the Role:
Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered/Clinical Nurse seeking a rewarding career opportunity in the dynamic field of surgical nursing? The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking Registered or Clinical Nurses to join their team of theatre scrub / scout nurses.
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.
The Peri-Operative Suite at Modbury Hospital comprises:
- 4 operating rooms
- 2 procedure rooms
- 11 bay recovery unit
Modbury Hospital performs a variety of high volume and throughput elective surgeries such as Orthopaedics including Arthroplasties, Urology, General surgery, Plastic surgery, Breast surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Gastroenterology. Our perioperative department is currently a Monday to Friday service with staff participation in an on-call roster.
There are opportunities to collaborate with the Lyell McEwin Hospital perioperative department to develop more advanced clinical skills and knowledge in elective, emergency and trauma surgery for those interested in experiencing higher complexity, major surgeries. At times you may be required to work across both sites.
As a Registered/Clinical Nurse in our Theatre Scrub/Scout unit, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical theatres. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing the operating theatre, assisting surgeons and anaesthetists and maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of highly skilled and experienced healthcare professionals, collaborating to deliver the highest standards of patient care. To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
