The Forensic Mental Health Service is a state-wide specialised service which provides assessment, treatment and care services to meet the needs of mental health consumers in the justice system, either forensic consumers placed by the SA court system or prisoners transferred from the Department of Correctional Services.

As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a highly skilled team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will shape the delivery of high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs within a secure environment.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

Mental Health – The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.

Forensic Mental Health – A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners.
