About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking Clinical Nurses to join our Adult Community Mental Health team in the Mental Health Hospital in the Home Service.
The Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH) Service is a 12-bed service that will provide services to the Northern catchment area. The MHHITH Service will provide acute daily mental health support within a client’s home and is intended for those experiencing acute episodes of psychiatric illness who would typically be considered candidates for presentation at the Emergency Department (ED), Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU), and/or Inpatient Unit admissions.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to adults experiencing mental health challenges within their home environment. In this role you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive assessment, treatment, and support services.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualised care plans
- Providing evidence-based interventions and promote recovery-oriented practices
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community resources
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participating in professional development activities and contribute to service improvements
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
