Overview

We have a great leadership opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Nursing team in providing patient care within the Emergency Department and Chemotherapy Unit at Murray Bridge Soldiers Memorial Hospital.

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal coordination of patient care delivery in a patient/client care area within the Health Unit. The main focus of this role is the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing and midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes.

Eligibility

Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years post registration experience.  Experience in management and leadership roles and the supervision of students, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses and Midwives essential.
