Join SALHN’s TPPP: Kickstart your nursing career with mentorship!
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network is hiring for the Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP), designed to support newly qualified nurses and midwives in their first year of clinical practice. The program provides a structured environment with mentorship to help consolidate skills and knowledge.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits you to join the Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) for Enrolled Nurses at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN)! Step into a dynamic role where you’ll support Registered Nurses/Midwives in delivering person-centred care, ensuring continuity for patients, and improving patient flow. Work with a diverse team, caring for individuals from various cultural backgrounds, and gain invaluable experience across children, youth, and women’s health. You’ll have the chance to develop your skills while staying accountable and making a real impact in patient care!
About you:
- It is essential that you are registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or are eligible to hold a current practicing certificate with unlimited work restrictions.
- You will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- You’ll demonstrate excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the keen judgment to recognize and report changes in clinical conditions, all while delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
- This is a part-time temporary contracted vacancy, working 32 hours per week on a 7-day roster and salary will be adjusted according to the actual hours worked – as this is a supported training program, there is no option to work below this. This is for newly registered Enrolled Nurses with less than 6 months acute care experience.
The position starts on 17th May 2025 up to 12 months.
