We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Manager to join our DASSA Team.
The Nurse Manager of Safety, Quality, and Risk is responsible for providing expert advice and leadership on safety, quality, community partnership and risk management requirements across DASSA services and programs. The role also develops, implements, and evaluates safety, quality, and risk management plans and projects to foster a systematic approach to improving safety, quality, and risk management.
About the role:
Reporting to the Co-Director the Manager Safety, Quality & Risk has operational oversight for:
- Supporting divisional leadership to implement, evaluate and improve the systems and processes underpinning the National Safety & Quality health Service Standards
- Strengthening and broadening the DASSA community partnership program ensuring the voices of DASSA’s community are heard at every level of the division
- Managing the patient safety and improvement systems including procedure and form management, patient incident/adverse event, risk and quality improvement.
- Facilitating the divisional clinical audit program ensuring integration with SALHN clinical audit processes, delivery of clinical audits in accordance with the audit schedule and reporting audit outcomes to divisional governance committees.
- Support staff, managers and Directors to understand their clinical governance responsibilities.
About you:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, under broad direction, to exercise professional judgment and delegated authority to determine methods and ensure that the required standards of service and quality are met within the healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated competence in Safety, Quality, and Risk Management nursing practice per the relevant standards.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing to meet accreditation or certification requirements.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
