Noarlunga Specialist Psychosis Community Mental Health team are looking for a Clozapine Coordinator to join their busy and rewarding team!

About the Role:

The Clinical Nurse – Clozapine Coordinator will oversee the Nurse-Led Clozapine program support primary clinicians to develop their capacity to manage clients on Clozapine and support the continuum care of consumers on Clozapine including health promotion access. In this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team to support and participate in the operation of the clinic. You will utilise your clinical skills by undertaking a caseload and, in doing so, ensure standards are met, evidence-based practice is implemented, and that the service is responsive to the needs of the community.

The position is a specialist position overseeing the Clozapine Clinic and following the OCP state-wide Clozapine Protocol and will have a focus on GP Shared Care.

About you:

  • Must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate.
  • Must hold a qualification in mental health nursing equivalent to Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Must have completed the Comprehensive Clozapine Training course.
  • Ability to work within a team framework that fosters an environment that develops staff potential.
