About the Opportunity

The Nurse Practitioner RN4 – (Interpersonal Violence) is integral to improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people supporting the vision of the HaRTSS and Cedar Health Service: Inclusive Domestic and Family Violence Healthcare. Practitioners practice beyond the usual responsibilities of a nurse, at an advanced level, with an expanded scope of practice, and with an advanced degree of clinical autonomy and clinical decision making.

Nurse Consultant RN3 – The provision of advanced quality clinical care and experience to provide the expertise for all gender consumer care delivery within Cedar Health Service: Inclusive Domestic and Family Violence Healthcare. Employees in this role accept accountability for their nursing practice, the outcomes of nursing practices for inclusive of all consumers impacted by Domestic and Family Violence, the professional advice given, delegations of care made and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.

About You

Nurse Practitioner RN4

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:

  • Demonstrated advanced level of nursing practice in the care and management of consumers who have experienced interpersonal violence or domestic and family violence
  • Demonstrated experience in sexual health care
  • Experience in developing policies, procedures and models of care in the relevant area of clinical practice.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mental Health and working from a trauma informed awareness perspective

 Nurse Consultant RN3

  • Demonstrated competence in the community nursing with experience in at least one of the following areas: Sexual health, Aboriginal health, Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol or Community health.
  • Experience in working with a diverse range of consumers from a variety of genders and cultures, whose lives have been impacted by violence or trauma.
  • Experience in the supervision of students and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with organizational leadership and lead /foster a positive culture through supporting and implementing change management strategies.
