    • Second Classification – RN/M2C – Clinical Nurse/Midwife LV2 – $84,870 to $107,279
  • Full time OR Part Time – Term Contract of up to 12 months

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a CAMHS Clinician, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical expertise and direct care for children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
  • Offering clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff and guiding team members in clinical practice.
  • Accepting accountability for the outcomes of clinical practice and addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Ensuring optimal consumer care through assessment, education, counseling, and group work.
  • Collaborating with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer health and recovery.
  • Using expert clinical knowledge to provide direction, support, and education to staff.
  • Leading and participating in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:

  • Appropriate Degree/s or equivalent qualification/s for your relevant allied health or nursing discipline (Please see attached Role Descriptions for further detail)
  • Extensive clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement clinical assessments and interventions of a complex nature in relation to children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, and their families using a range of theoretical models.
  • Developing, designing, implementing and evaluating preventative and/or therapeutic programs.
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
  • Work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.
  • Supervise students on a two-yearly rotational basis.
