In this dynamic role, you will provide high-quality nursing and midwifery services across various health service settings, supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leading our dedicated team. Your experience and expertise will help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals, while ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver proficient, person-centred clinical care and oversee patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to implement practice changes and manage service delivery.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Engage in clinical teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide shift-by-shift leadership, ensuring continuity and consistency of care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • A current practicing certificate and at least 3 years of post-registration experience.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to various healthcare settings.
  • A commitment to cultural respect and understanding of contemporary health issues.
