Overview

We have a great leadership opportunity for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to provide support in the leadership of nurses/midwives in Acute Services at Peterborough Soldiers Memorial Hospital.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, the Registered Nurse, in support of the Nurse Unit Manager, undertakes a portfolio with which they will:

  • promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other ANUMs and the NUM;
  • assist in implementing practice changes and
  • managerial responsibilities eg. performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, attendance management and financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

Eligibility

The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years post registration experience or be currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.

Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses essential.
