As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Chemotherapy, you’ll provide expert nursing care while developing your leadership skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to guide and mentor less experienced staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and promoting consistency across the unit.

You’ll work closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to lead a team of nurses, driving practice improvements, managing staffing and rostering, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the chemotherapy ward. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the care experience for patients, collaborating with your team to ensure smooth, efficient, and compassionate service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Demonstrated competence in haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home patient training in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
