Wallaroo Hospital
Located 160 kilometres from Adelaide on the beautiful coastline of the Yorke Peninsula, Wallaroo is a 21-bed acute hospital. Services offered include 24-hour accident and emergency, acute and general medical services, chemotherapy, medical imaging, surgical services obstetric and maternity care, palliative care, and outpatient clinics.
The Yorke Peninsula region offers a lovely place to live and work, providing a beautiful coastal environment, the area provides great beaches for swimming and fishing. There is plenty of areas to explore on your days off.
Wallaroo Chemotherapy unit currently services low acuity Chemotherapy Clients from the Copper Coast and surrounding areas. The Unit also supports non-chemotherapy day infusions and OPD procedures such as PICC and Port Maintenance. The Unit has 4 chairs and is equipped with videoconferencing facilities to allow for remote appointments with their Oncology Services in Metropolitan areas.
YNLHN have a temporary part time position for a Registered Nurse wishing to work within the Chemotherapy Unit at the Wallaroo Hospital. If you are interested in the position below, you will role need to have 3 years post registration and have completed or in the process of completing the following:
- All 7 EviQ online learning modules
• Immunotherapy learning modules
• Be Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) accredited (or equivalent)
• Be Central Venous Access Device (CAVD) accredited (or equivalent)
We are seeking:
Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T, 0.42 FTE (16 hours per week) Commencing ASAP
