Crystal Brook and District Hospital provides a range of essential health services to the community, operating 24/7 accident and emergency care and a variety of medical, surgical, and support services. Key offerings include:

Hospital Services:

  • General medical and surgical care, including specialties like plastics surgery.
  • Aged care assessment and aged residential care.
  • Day therapy centres and delivered meals (Meals on Wheels).
  • Inpatient and outpatient services, along with patient transport.
  • Obstetrics and palliative care.
  • Parenting and family support/education.
  • Personal care for older persons, including planned activity groups and respite care.
  • Same day stays for patients needing short-term care.

Maternity/Obstetrics:

  • A birthing suite and shared care arrangements with General Practitioners and midwifery group practice midwives to support women before, during, and after childbirth.

About the Roles 

Crystal Brook Hospital is seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing to join our compassionate and professional team.

  • Enrolled Nurses will work under the direction of Registered Nurses and Midwives to deliver person-centred care across various settings, including aged care, acute care, Accident and Emergency, Outpatient Departments, and Minor Procedures clinics. Enrolled Nurses will also have opportunities to join the theatre team, providing surgical support, while continually developing their skills and knowledge. This role offers a dynamic environment, with the chance to specialise in different areas of healthcare, contributing to the hospital’s broad range of services.
  • Assistants in Nursing (AINs) will support the nursing team by assisting with general patient care and performing basic nursing duties. AINs will work closely with Enrolled and Registered Nurses to ensure high-quality care delivery, particularly in the Roseview Residential MPS, a 12-bed facility focusing on resident-centred care.

At Crystal Brook Hospital, both Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing are encouraged to take part in ongoing professional development and will be supported in their growth across a variety of healthcare settings.

Current Crystal Brook vacancies:

  • Enrolled Nurse: Permanent P/T, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) Commencing ASAP
  • Assistant in Nursing: Permanent P/T, 0.40 FTE (15.2 hours per week) Commencing ASAP
