Overview

Are you a seasoned Mental Health Nurse with a passion for leading clinical excellence and driving recovery-focused care? We are seeking a Mental Health Nurse Consultant to provide high-quality, safe mental health services and clinical consultancy supporting the recovery of mental health consumers across community, acute and rehabilitation service settings.

This role demands clinical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to improving consumer outcomes through innovative practices and projects.  You will be:

  • Delivering expert mental health nursing care with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Providing clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing teams.
  • Coordinating and leading projects or programs aimed at enhancing service delivery and consumer outcomes.
  • Taking accountability for your nursing practice, including decision-making, policy adherence, and professional advice.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of post-registration experience in mental health nursing.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a diverse workload.
