Laura & District Hospital is a Multi-Purpose Service comprising 6 acute inpatient and 12 aged care beds. Services offered include 24-hour Emergency Department, acute medical services, palliative care, and residential aged care. As a small site nursing staff work dynamically across all areas service. The hospital is well supported by an onsite GP practice with afterhours on-call and the SA Virtual Emergency Service (SAVES).
Nursing at the Laura Hospital offers a great opportunity for a good balance of work across all areas of the service. Staff are well supported to develop new skills and knowledge, to pursue areas of interest, to expand scope of practice and to provide leadership. You will find the team friendly and supportive. As a nurse you will plan and deliver direct care to inpatients and residents and treat all emergency patients attending the hospital.
Current vacancy at Laura:
- Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T, 0.32FTE (12 hours per week) Commencing ASAP
- Registered Nurse: Temporary P/T, 0.53FTE (20 hours per week) Commencing ASAP until 30/6/2025
