About Maitland Hospital
Maitland is situated in the centre of the Yorke Peninsula amongst a farming landscape. Maitland is a short drive to either side of the peninsula offering beautiful beaches to rest, swim, fish and walk along. Short driving distance to stunning national parks and surf beaches.
All services are under the main roof and offer acute and aged care services, including Transitional Care Services. Our Renal service is a satellite unit with 4 chairs, currently servicing up to 8 clients 3 days a week. Maitland has 24/7 access to emergency services. The hospital is serviced by locum Dr and is supported by tele services that includes MedStar, SA Virtual Emergency Services (SAVES) and SA Virtual Care services (SAVCS).
Staff are multi skilled and are encouraged to work at the top of their scope. This includes high critical thinking and the opportunity to up skill in many areas of nursing, such as Renal, Radiology, Palliative Care, Infection control, Emergency, and other advanced skills areas, such as suturing and plastering. Staff work across all areas of the hospital, acute medical, aged care and respond and treat all Emergency patients that attend the hospital.
Current vacancy at Maitland:
- Registered Nurse: Temporary P/T, 1.0 FTE (38 hours a week) Commencing ASAP until 29/11/2025
- Registered Nurse: Temporary P/T, 3.0 FTE Commencing ASAP until 28/2/2025
- Enrolled Nurse: Temporary P/T, 0.84 FTE (32 hours a week) Commencing ASAP until 20/1/2026
- Enrolled Nurse: Temporary P/T, 1.58 FTE Commencing ASAP until 28/3/2025
