About Orroroo Health Service – Orroroo Hospital and Orroroo Community Home
Orroroo is located 257 km north of Adelaide at the crossroad of the Sydney to Perth Highway and Adelaide to Blinman in the Flinders Ranges to the north. Orroroo is a service centre for the surrounding agricultural region. A picturesque farming community, the main products being wheat, wool, sheep, and cattle. The Orroroo township is well serviced with the local shopping including 3 coffee shops, a small bakery, gift shops, hotels, preschool to Year 12, local Police station, town amenities and various sporting clubs, making Orroroo a great place to live and enjoy the unique country friendliness.
Orroroo Hospital has 7 acute beds and 10 Residential Aged Care Beds. Services offered include 24-hour accident and emergency, acute services, aged care, palliative care, and medical imaging. Orroroo Community Home is a 16 bed Residential Aged Care facility, on a separate location and is staffed by RNs, ENs and Direct Care Workers.

You will be welcomed by the stable friendly team at Orroroo who will work with you to plan care and deliver direct care to the acute patients, residents, and emergency presentations.
Nursing at Orroroo will provide you with a great opportunity to work across all areas of service with support and flexibility where possible, to develop new skills and knowledge and to pursue areas of interest in partnership with larger sites, well supported by doctors 24/7 (including after hours on call) and SA Virtual Emergency Service (SAVES) and an after hours on-call nurse.

- Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T – Acute, 1.0 FTE (38 hours per week) Commencing ASAP
- Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T – Aged Care, 1.5 FTE (Multiple Positions) Commencing ASAP
