Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme
Remuneration:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $131,900 p.a., comprising salary between $107,960 – $115,604 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
Your Opportunity:
The Purpose of the Clinical Nurse role is to provide clinical expertise, patient-centred care and support relevant to patient assessment within the Geriatrician / virtual ward team to support the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
The Clinical Nurse demonstrates a broad knowledge of professional nursing skills and are accountable and responsible for their own clinical practice. The Clinical Nurse will provide support to the Geriatrician /virtual ward team. The role will provide clinical leadership across outpatient clinics, the inpatient ward, the virtual ward, and community settings.
The Geriatrician / virtual ward Clinical Nurse operating within their scope of practice also supports the Geriatrician / virtual ward teams with clinical rounding when there are doctor shortages to improve workforce flexibility to ensure safe and quality patient care is maintained.
